Dey (an obsolete/dialect word for a Dairy Maid, it seems).

de- is not a genuine prefix in this word, but it'll have to do!

I feel there ought to be a verb deyoke (meaning to "separate" or similar), but apparently there isn't.....

:?

I thought we were going rather easy on whether it's a genuine prefix...

I'm very harsh on myself, because I'm a Latin and Ancient Greek specialist, and virtually all prefixed words in English have a Latin or Greek origin. So when I can't find such an example, it freaks me out and I get all anoraky. I agree with you however, Skilpadde, this game requires a fair bit of latitude to be given if some letters of the alphabet are to be accommodated! :D

How about Re- for the next round?

Ah okay! Get it! Greek and Latin specialist huh? Wow... I only know Norwegian and English (and have a fairly good grip on Swedish and Danish for the very simple reason that they're very similar to Norwegian). Relieved about allowing a bit of latitude. It would be unplayable otherwise.

Yeah, I agree with you guys----sometimes, it's not an actual prefix, but that's understandable by me, too!!
