I think he means that the Japanese are trying to dominate the entertainment industry. Not just anime, but also games.

Even if the Japanese are dominating the entertainment industry, So what? I like Anime and Manga. In fact, Ive loved Anime and Manga ever since I was a kid, the Japanese taking over is good. Why? Because although US Cartoons, Comics and Video Games are awesome, they could learn a thing or two from the Japanese.

Reading from right to left is too weird for me. As is the exaggeration of certain things.

Well, I'm just not into manga or anime. Sure is better than nukes though!

Quite a few anime shows and movies do seem to be obsessed by powers that can destroy whole cities and worlds. But I wouldn't call it a retaliation, more like an after effect, as the bombs had a large long lasting affect on the minds of the nation. Sort of like saying that slavery had a long lasting effect on America, lots of our stories are about freeing the oppressed and contain allegories of racism.

If by this statement, you mean Japan is trying to invade America by inuading our culture with their influence?

You may be right, but frankly I couldn't care less, they already have turned me.

Hell, if it ever came to blows, I'd probably fight for the Rising Sun. NIPPON BANZAI!! !

Treason has never been this much fun...

I like manga but most of it is too absurd for me like ones with clantily clad schoolgirls who squeel when they are happy, say kyaaaa when they recieve a beat down, and shoot lazers out of their eyes. This seems like what every manga and anime is about lol. I do like me some claymore and naruto but only the manga versions and I'm not terribly obsessed with them. I also hate it when girls cosplay as guy characters which seems really big in japan and is spreading here as i've seen. We dont need girls cosplaying as Cloud Strife from ff7 here O_o

You kidding? I saw a pic somewhere of two girls cosplaying as Link from The Legend of Zelda. I think that would be the only incidence in which I lusted for a guy character (I'm straight, btw).

IMHO Link is easy for female cosplayers because he looks a bit feminine anyways, especially in the older games like Ocarina of Time.
