I was a loner for much of high school
and still find it difficult to make friends in college.

Well, you are a perfect loner... to say the very least. Actually, the first three adjectives that came to my mind after reading your results were "freak", "dork", and "sociopath", but of course calling a person like you with any of these names would be dangerous, so I won't. Besides, there are at least two good things about you. First, your case is incurable, so you have nothing to worry about -- just enjoy the life you've got. Second, your attitude towards others can come very handy if you pick a right job -- a forest ranger, for example, or a lighthouse watcher. Without changing significantly your own lifestyle, you'll do a great favour to the society you so little connected with. All in all, you are perfect... in your own way. Congratulations, and good luck -- you'll definitely need all of it. By the way, you share your score with 18% of the people who have taken the test. You are in a good company!

Damn, whoever wrote this is a complete a**hole.

Further, "being in good company" because there are other people who "feel alone too" is a completely worthless observation. Such things are mentioned by average people that haven't the faintest clue of what it feels like to actually have concern for others and yet not be able to express it.

I needn't take the quiz to know the results. I'm alone and feel kinship with no one. That was never my choice.

Many of these tests are entertaining, but they certainly aren't scientific or academic.

I took the test and it advised that I was very sociable. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Now that I have stopped laughing at the ludicrousness of these results, I can attest that, although I have the companionship of my dear husband and my delightful children, I do spend a lot of time by myself (save an except for some community connections that are more structured in nature - I participate in a community choir, I participate in some family drop in programs - but the people I meet there are merely acquaintances, not friends per se.

I get lonley some of the time (but so does everybody). I have learned to appreciate my own company and that of my dear feline companion when I was alone - so I don't really feel lonely.

Congratulations! You have nothing to worry about, at least when it comes to your relations with other people. You rarely feel lonely and cope pretty well with your romantic/sexual partners, relatives, colleagues, friends, neighbours, and the local community.

By the way, you share your overall score with 10% of the people who have taken the test. You are in a good company!

I think that's the premise of these quizzes.

Wow... uhm... it's quite a case we've got here. Oh yeah. I'm a little hesitant to discuss it with you but apparently have no choice. OK, I'll try to be as polite and careful as I can, but still... please take a deep breath and try to stay calm.

Meh... To many questions about romance that I can't answer on.

Anyway, I've never experienced loneliness.
