I saw this topic on another forum and I thought I would post it here.

Have you ever walked out of the house in a normal outfit of yours only to have someone say to you 'you look just like (insert anime characters name here)'?
Or has it been the reverse?
I have heard of someone who was cosplaying as a character from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney (forgot which one) only to be approached by a fashions on the street columist and be featured in the column as "inspired by a video game character"

I have already been called bishounen. I was clean shaven that day and went to a gaming convention.

Ive gotten compared to squall once.

and leon from resident evil.

All I need is the dress and I could easily cosplay as Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon.

I deliberately take off Magnus Scheving's style of clothing. It's not technically "cosplay" but I am dressing up like one of my favourite people.

If I could cosplay in public I'd be Iceland from Hetalia. Even though cosplaying when not going to a con is lame.
