Reckon you're a bit of a mastermind? Want to pit yourself against other posters for fun?

I've set up a daily trivia competition for The Wrong Planet. Your score will depend on number of right answers and how fast you answer. There will be a daily champion, a weekly champion and a monthly one. Are you up for it? I've set the standard by getting all my 10 right today. Come and have a go if you think you're smart enough. 8)

And if you don't mind, use your Wrong Planet names as it's more fun if we can see who we're beating/getting beaten by.

(Just so you know, the questions are pulled from a pool so creating 2 accounts will not help you to cheat. :P )

I forgot to say that our results will be compared to the results of other groups taking part. So we could become world champions. :nerdy:

8/10 in 60 seconds, 740 total score.

Movie questions with this or that actor always get me.. I never pay attention to the actors, only the characters. (and one of the questions was completely fallacious, though I still answered correctly)

I've seen on other quizes that some people get them all right in less than 30 seconds. 8O I can't even read the questions that quick.

Neither can I, but I got 10/10 and a few were guesses. I kept moving my mouse on the no script thingy which would pop up a menu and that slowed me down a bit.

Yesterday's winner was me (which tells me nobody was trying too hard :D )

1. MotherKnowsBest
2. Aimless
3. turdus

Today's quiz is up and running for anyone who wants to have a go. 10 general knowledge questions is all it takes. (Later, once we have a regular group I can change to question pool so it's a mix of people's favourite subjects and special interests.)

10/10 Once again, there were a few I didn't know but made guesses by process of probable elimination.

Just as I suspected my winning streak was rather short. Yesterday's top players were:

1. Aimless
2. Michael_Stuart
3. MotherKnowsBest

Congratulations Aimless yesterday's smartest player.

Everyone is welcome to play here: http://www.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=96506

I don't do well on timed tests and my top score yesterday was just because I knew or guessed all the answers correctly. Screw the

timing thing.

Well I am glad that at least once I could beat the host (motherknowsbest), the problem is that many of the questions are about popular culture which I know very little about. I got 8 right in 98 seconds (702 points).

I suspect that she will beat me time and time again !

I just had a question about what happened in a specific cricket match India played once upon a time. I am but a mere mortal...
