Someone posts a question they know the answer of, then the next person has to try to research the answer to the question. Then you give out the next question. I'll start the game:

How many Earth years is equal to a year on Pluto?

[courtesy Yahoo Answers] In 1535, two Indian Youths told Jacques Cartier about the route to "kanata." They were referring to the village of Stadacona; "kanata" was simply the Huron-Iroquois word for "village" or "settlement." But for want of another name, Cartier used "Canada" to refer not only to Stadacona (the site of present day Quebec City), but also to the entire area subject to its chief, Donnacona. The name was soon applied to a much larger area: maps in 1547 designated everything north of the St. Lawrence River as "Canada."

So, it's an Iroquois word that basically means "village".

Due to the small amount of recognition / research and occurrences / understanding by the general population.
That, and the fact that most mental health professionals write down such occurrences off,
as a reference to DSM-IV 297.1 (Delusional), implying a self imposed illusion.
The true Delusional belief is that if it does not fit anywhere else,
it must go here in this section,
so I can prove my job,
then get paid.

Looked it up in my bible, i.e. 'History of Western philosophy and it's.... ' by Bertrand Russell.... but did it rather in a hurry, skim-like and I believe it was Manichaeism.... (Was it Manichaeism?)

~

Which Greek philosopher is said to come/came up first with the idea of the four elements? (fire, air, water and earth) or roots as he called them?)

OK .... it's maple, then oak, then walnut. Let's try another one. Sticking to botany:

What is a perfect flower?

I had the answer yesterday.... about the pollen... but something came up.... lets say, in between me posting it but.... hey. (sorry)

Um, Empedocles was correct.... and I think a perfect flower means, that the plant has pistils and stamens in the same flower or is monoclinous. Hermaphrodite is another explaining term here, I think.

What does impressionism mean, when we're talking about art?... (more particularly, the art of painting).

Oh ... I was too impatient. Sorry. I like this game, didn't want the thread to die.

Yes, you are correct about the definition of "perfect flower". It has both male and female parts on the same flower, may or may not have petals or sepals; may be able to pollinate itself (like tomatoes) or need to cross-pollinate with another specimen of the species (like apples).

Impressionism, according to http://www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/glo/impressionism/ :
"The impressionist style of painting is characterized chiefly by concentration on the general impression produced by a scene or object and the use of unmixed primary colors and small strokes to simulate actual reflected light."

If you say quintessential Appalachian.... it might be D.... but wiki-p.... also says that sort-alike instruments pre-existed before in Africa, so I go for B. (also Japan and Persia had/have instruments that resemble the banjo a bit).

old piece of banjo music (not really my cup of tea though)
