In Champions Online the other day, one of the graphical developers, Tumerboy, was handing out free copies of his in-game Action Figure (a little in-game doll that follows you around and doesn't actually do anything - some folks like collecting them). Since he was on vacation, and using a borrowed computer with graphics issues, he was hiding, and telling people who wanted his AF to simply ask politely in Zone Chat and then wait their turn. (My character Punny-sher has a Tumerboy AF now...)

During the flurry of people who failed to understand the concept behind "ask politely and then wait", a number of people began pleading for the "Tumorboy" figure. One of the long-time players asked why nobody seemed to be able to spell Tumerboy's name correctly.

I told him that the problem was that Tumer used to spell his name with an O, then he took an arrow to the E...
