The name is Mira.

I have had named cats in the order Miri, Mari, Mira. -- When time leaves Mira, I will take a Mara from the local shelter. It will be the last cat I tend. I will sellect one who no one else wants. Blind, missing a leg. I will give him a home.

Mara. You have a home.

I would find it confusing to have animals with such similar names.

All of my dogs have come from the dogs home. Unwanted - old, ugly, behavioural problems, crazy. They had all already been named.

Have I ever ever ever said I love you? If not, try to guess why.

Ari is a common male name. It is simply a short form of Aristotle. I'd say the chances are favourable.

Yes, but what were the chances that someone in New Zealand, who is interested in Finnish, would get a dog with a Finnish name?

It's not like Finnish names are a popular choice for dogs here. :P

Let me say fifty-fifty. Honest, with a Finnish name like Ari your dog will outlive Vladimir Putin.

Actually forget that. No dog deserves to be named like that. Some cute names like "Pasi" or "Mikka" or "Marko" would be more fitting.
