From "hyper" (extreme), and "borea" (north) Hyperborea was a mythical place "beyond the north wind" in Greek mythology.

May,or may not, have had anything to do with any real place to the north of Greece.

Thought I'd better put in an appearance. Funny you should mention skeleton, I actually used to do the Cresta run in Switzerland when I was younger. I didn't excel at it though. :lol:

What was it like to do the Cresta run? Was it exciting? It looks like something I might have liked some decades ago (but with a smaller course, I think).
