'X' Marks The Spot

A commonly used phrase in conjunction with the 'Spot The Ball' competitions which were common in British newspapers many years ago (a photo from a football match, with the ball removed, competitors had to mark where they thought it was, closest to the 'spot' was the winner).

(Czech husband and wife Olympic champions at Helsinki in 1952, Emil in the 5,000 meters, 10,000 meters and marathon and Dana in the javelin throw. Both were born on September 19, 1922)

Alain Mimoun

(Finished second to Zatopek three times at the Olympic Games, once in London in 1948 and twice in Helsinki in 1952, before winning the marathon in Melbourne in 1956. Born in Algeria in 1921 and competed for France in the Olympic Games. He lived to be 92 years old).

Bikila, Abebe (Ethiopia, winner of the Olympic marathon at Rome in 1960 and Tokyo in 1964)

Chandrasekhar, Bhagwat

An Indian cricketer, whose bowling was at times devastating during the 1971 test series against England, as I recall.
