Her partner hasn't taken the plaice through to the dining room yet...

as they're putting their two bare children to bed...

If you heard the topic title spoken, you'd think someone was being awfully sexist... :jester:

This is just tongue in cheek fun. Would someone else like to see what other sentences we can come up with where words sound the same but are spelt different?

Oh yes - my wits were a bit slow today... not malnutrition so must be info overload!

Can we make up any more phrases/sentences that sound alike when spoken but are spelled differently?

We could use another Empress like Wu Zetian again. No I'm serious! She did amazing things for China and didn't take crap from nobody, which is exactly why history painted her as the most evil ruler of all of China. But she kept her people well fed during times of famine and improved the lives of Chinese women, not to mention bringing years of wealth and prosperity to China. Go Wu! :queen:
