Ok... here is my game... I say a book, then the next person has to say a book and how it connects. So you could think of a book that also has a charcter named Bob, or also has multiple explosions, or something by the same author or whatever.

So... say one book, and how it connects to the previous book:

(1st post) Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

(next post) The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper (because both have trains)

Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. We have another homicidal member of the medical profession, Dr Hannibal Lecter. And what he does to Will Graham is almost as bad as what happens in Misery.

Thud! by Terry Pratchett (continuing with City Watch novels....plus I just noticed the title and author initials all start with the same letters, purely by coincidence)

Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett. Besides a LOTR reference with a dwarfish gate, Gollum gets pushed off his log and into the water of a cave by Granny Weatherwax wielding an oar.

C'mon, isn't there any diversification? I've got a whole bookshelf itching to be added.
