NUDICTIONARY, the dictionary of the future

This is a game.
Instructions:
STEP 1) Give a definition of the previous poster's word, an example of its use, and optionally, an artist's impression.
STEP 2) Create a NuWord. Its origin may be nonsensical, formed from existing standard words, or formed from existing NuWords.

The Original Word

Silfy
adj. Descriptive of the texture of some thin fabrics, coats, pants, and uncured swayed/imitation hinds. Like silky, only with much more rugged error in threads and prone to giving heat rashes. Ex. Yecch. That leather couch is so silfy!

V. Olde English version of the verb hlew. Ex. Him that hleweth upon the Sabbath shalt be denied flogging.
