Why Are You Still Single?
You're Lacking Confidence
Ask anyone for their top five characteristics in a potential significant other and chances are, confidence tops the list. Nothing is sexier than confidence-- besides, how can you expect someone to be into you if you don't think you're worth being into? A lack of confidence usually translates into an insecure, needy, desperate bf/gf and nobody wants that. Throwing yourself a pity party will not get you a date, but believing that you deserve one is a good first step.

You're Scared of Intimacy
No, I'm not talking about what you do in bed-- you've got that part covered. But when things get serious emotionally, you tend to back away. You're what we call a ''commitmentophobe.'' Whether it's because you fear letting someone into your life or that you're scared of getting hurt or that you're just not sure that there isn't a better out there, settling down with one person practically gives you hives. Whatever the reason, it's important to get to the root of the problem and solve it. Giving a part of yourself to someone else in a relationship certainly is intense, but if you're with the right person, you're likely to gain more than you'll lose.

Why Are You Still Single?
You're Too Selfish
Whoa, there-- control freak much? You're totally familiar with the ''my way or the highway'' approach to life, in fact, you practically invented it. You're the kind of person who thinks s/he is always right and though it's great that you're so strong in your convictions, this could lead you to focus too much on you and not enough on your partner. Compromise is key when it comes to dating-- it's time you do some of it if you want to be in healthy relationship.

You're Expecting Too Much
Sure, you deserve to meet your dream guy/girl, but maybe s/he isn't exactly what you've read about in fairy tales or seen in the movies. Sometimes we think we've found ''the one'' after just a couple of dates, but that very rarely happens in real life. Don't confuse that initial dating euphoria for a ''happily ever after' situation-- jumping into things too soon can scare someone off or rush what could potentially be a good thing. So just remember to play things by ear and not get too excited, too soon.
