From Middle English wlātsom (“disgusting, repulsive, repugnant, abominable, hateful, loathsome”), from Middle English wlāte (“nausea, disgust, repugnance, loath”), from Old English wlǣtta (“loathing, nausea, eructation, heartburn,”).

Yeah, Lostgirl1986 played "owl" yesterday but then changed it for something else, thinking it was a dead end, but I'd found "wlatsome" by then. Been desperate to show that off ever since!
