There are no hard-and-fast rules, but here's the general idea:
- Look up any word in Wikipedia
- Click any link in the content of that article, then click on any link in the resulting article
- Try to get conceptually as far away from the first word — and then back — in 10 or fewer total clicks (preferably 10)
Bonus points (no there are no real points) if you can:
- make each click conceptually related to the last.
- start/end with a word that is not very common.
Here's an example, starting from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herring
0. Herring
1. Omega-3 fatty acid
2. Food and Drug Administration
3. Upton Sinclair
4. Socialism
5. Revolutions of 1917–23
6. Backlash
7. Racism
8. United States
9. Atlantic Ocean
10. Herring
But "herring" is relatively easy. Can you do a more obscure word and still keep a good concept flow?
