2. In the original? 3 AFAIK. Kraid, Ridley, and Mother Brain.

3. Buggered if I know. I know there are 5 forms of Metroid featured in that game, I think, barring the Queen.

4. It is possibly the same Space Pirate ship Samus blew up in Metroid: Zero Mission, though this is debatable.

5. Screw Attack. In MP2: Echoes, it also allows Samus to traverse great distances over gaps that don't have any other means of crossing.
