I'm not looking at anyone else's answers. I'm not Wiki-ing this as I answer, although I have read the Mario Wiki before.

1. Donkey Kong, although at the time he was called 'Jumpman' and had a different colour palette.

2. Cake, I believe.

3. Super Mario Super Show? I remember 'Swing your arms, from side to side...'

4. Like I said before, Jumpman. He was named after Nintendo of America's landlord at the time.

5. The FLUDD.

6. I thought it was Mario Bros for the arcades. Not Super Mario Bros, but Mario Bros.

7. The original Super Mario Bros, although she was called, in English initially, 'Toadstool'. Mario's interest in DK was Pauline.

8. Super Mario Land for the Game Boy (I loved that game, though I preferred the second one)

9. Uh, was it to eat enemies? Or jumping?

10. Bowser, aka King Koopa.

BONUS: Uhh, Princess Daisy?

These questions are a little too easy.

Who is Mario named after?


The landlord of Nintendo of America at the time. Forgot his last name, but he was Mario. Apparently he entered a meeting of NOA demanding rent be paid. It's also a happy coincidence that his name can be spelt completely in Japanese.
