...there would be a lot more pop-up and scratch-and-sniff books.

If I were ruler, I'd hire paparazzi to take incriminating photos of people who read tabloid magazines.

... I'm gonna abolish that annoying leap-year day, February 29th.

But since the orbital year is approximately 365.25 calendar days long, we still need to account for that one day that occurs every four years, or risk screwing up our calendars. So I'll stick in six hours of "nether time" between December 31 and January 1, for six hours of new-years' revelry that will exist outside of the temporal continuum.

However -- and this is the best part -- since we're adding six hours onto the day from nowhere, this will skew the days for the rest of the year by 25%. So we will have a four-year rotating cycle of "daylight", "dusk", "nighttime", and "dawn" years. There won't be any more of that tedious wake-up-in-morning-and-go-to-sleep-at-night nonsense. We will transcend an organism's primal tendency to stolidly remain within either a diurnal or nocturnal (or crepuscular, I suppose) life-cycle, because our own cycles will change from year to year.

Man, I can't wait.

That's an interesting idea. Sounds like something out of a science-fiction story.

For one, I would not rule the Earth, too many...really in the way thickheaded people.
I would probally rule as a cousil if anything, and I would rather live in the World of Pokémon. Efforts on a small scale would be made to find a portal or build one to said world.

Me, too. I just looked it up and learned the pronunciation as well.

That statement reminds me of my idea that alternate dimensions exist for fictional worlds. I doubt that this is actually so. And even if it was any attempt to make a dimensional portal (or a similar device) is unlikely to be successful. I still think it would be an interesting idea, though.

I'm fascinated by the idea that there are an infinity of alternate "me's" in parallel dimensions, living out every possible scenario. I've tried to calculate how many of them are living a better or worse life than me...

If I ruled the world, I would eliminate anyone who is dumb like criminals or dumb drivers on the road. Why can't people just go the speed limit? Why do they pass in no passing zones? Oh yeah, people who enjoy smoking in front of non smokers. I say no to second hand smoke that kills an estimated (I think) at least 30,000 people a year! So, in the end, there would be around 10 people left on this planet if I ruled the world. That is how tough I will be. So, most people will not want me to rule the world for that reason.

I would have all of the world's scientists working on either my immortality, or curing global warming, whichever their expertise fell under.

Crepuscularity will be the mandated lifestyle. Yeah right.....

If I ruled the world, I would allow drinking and smoking in public, but smalltalk would be outlawed.

If I were ruler of the world, all drugs would be legalized. There would be a lot less drug-related murders and gang wars if drugs were freely available to the public. Nevertheless, this may be a bad idea as most of the world would probably be drug addicts and there would be a lot more people dieing from drug overdoses.

There'd be a coffee shop that catered to non-conformists, in every town and city, on the face of this planet. I've had it with the so-called decent people, who only have nasty things to say about anybody who's just a little bit different from their normal, decent friends.
