The Intellectual!

In a horror movie you would be the one that sits back reading the books or checking the computer for sources to get information on the situation at hand. You don't believe that you need to necessarily stick your neck out to survive, and your main goal is just that...to survive, hopefully with someone to share the victory with. As for watching horror films? Well, you might want to go alone and sit away from the crowd. You are the one that sits there making judgements through the film pointing out how stupid the characters are. You may end up wearing more popcorn than you eat.

Hero/Heroine
58% chance of survival!

This character is usually female, tall, dark haired, and virginal. The heroine is never a part of the scene with the requisite horror movie nudity, and she uses her wits to defeat the monster/killer in the end, though, of course, he never really dies. She is the person that will undoubtedly last through the whole movie, because she is probably the first character introduced and the only one with unabashedly perfect moral values and in immense force of will. However, if brought back in a sequel her acquired knowledge of said villain may get her killed (See: The Horror Aficionado).

On my second try, I received the same category with 62% chance of survival.
Four points margin of error isn't that bad.

But, ya see...when I'd go to the garage to check on the dog, I'd be sneaky AND armed. Do I get any extra points for that? :)

The Killer
80% chance of survival!

You would think the hero/heroine would out survive the villain, but that's rarely the reality in a horror film. Sure, when they tossed your body through that meat grinder and cooked your severed head in battery acid it looked like you were done for good, but the chances of the killer staying dead forever are extremely slim. Ok, so you'll probably be stabbed, shot, burned, run over and even exorcised at some point but as the star of the movie, you'll always find a way to come back.

Congratulations! This is the highest score you could have gotten!

Some villains you should look to for inspiration: Pinhead from the Hellraiser series; Pennywise, IT; The Firefly Family, House of 1000 Corpses; Krug, Junior, Weasel and Sadie, Last House on the Left; and Angela Baker, Sleepaway Camp

The Horror Aficionado

Sometimes known as "the wise guy" or "the totally platonic best friend". This character is usually either the most likeable or most excruciatingly annoying character in the movie, because he's almost always the comic relief (or lack thereof). Sometimes he is the first to die because he figures out what's going on, tries to escape and is killed. However, the horror aficionado will more likely use his knowledge to devise the plan that eliminates the threat. That means he survives until the end where he ends up dying as a sacrifice so that the heroine can carry out the plan. Though he tends to lack a backbone, you do feel somewhat bad when he dies.

Hooray! I get to be like Randy, my fave character from the scream trilogy.
