It says im a Whig. Rats... I was hoping for Constitution Party, which i would join but the only parties recognized in Maine are Republican, democrat and green.

Not surprising, it suggests that I should be a Libertarian.

I'm actually an Independent. There are certain facets of the Libertarian Party that I despise, particularly the tendency to align themselves with Ayn Rand.

Ayn Rand clearly admired William Hickman who kidnapped a 12 year old girl, killed her, and ransomed her dismembered body. Ayn Rand felt that whatever he had done, the members of the jury were worse. To me, that makes Ayn Rand so vile that she is beyond redemption.

You don't need Ayn Rand anyway. You can come to substantially the same pro-small government, pro-freedom positions through Classical Liberalism and the Austrian School from a far more sound philosophical position than you can ever get through Ayn Rand's crap.

I do generally vote Libertarian, though.

It had me at equal levels for the Connies, the Greens, and the Libbies ... and I don't like any of them.
