I've been smoking marijuana for the past years, and the drug's known for stimulating the emotional parts of the brain. I'm definitely not trying to advocate using it, but I honestly felt like I saw a glimpse into how normal people use their social skills; when I'm high, I'd watch people on TV and people in real life, and I can realize how people use their intellect and throw quirky jabs at each other and are playful dancing in their dialogues. When I'm sober, I can sorta try and pick up on those queues in hopes of learning those social skills but it's not the same as when I'm high. It's like being blind then having vision for a few hours.
Is that just the normal effects of the drugs to make me appreciate everything or is there really a veiled realm of social wit that's behind its door?
Hard to say for sure. But, I've seen many more people who though they were understanding extraordinary [1] things when they were high, only to have no access to these insights once the high wore off.
[1] Extraordinary for their particular experiences and memories.
