Thanks all so much for your perspectives.
I'm sorry for those of you who have had bad experiences of playing with fire (either by being The Baddie yourselves or as the victim). I did hope there would be more happy experiences but it seems not.
I have looked up Limerence and that seems to be about right. Weird trying to intellectualize about feelings that seen so base, so natural, so beautiful.
I have never met any other Aspies or seen films or read books. I just know my Aspie is lovely. I am sure we can manage to just be friends who hug (even if we would rather be more). His obsession at the moment by the way is filming geese, not sex!
