if Spokane is still my favorite place by the time I die, that's where I want my ashes spreaded at. In Riverfront Park where they filmed Benny & Joon with the park scene. I want it spreaded at where they had their picnic and I also want it spreaded around the huge Radio Flyer wagon.

Not cremated, because that releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Therefore it's not very eco-friendly.

Actually, you release more CO2 into the air as you rot in the ground, as well as methane gas and some radiation too. I want to be cremated, and hopefully Hawaii is still running the program where they mix you ashes with concrete and then drop the slabs into a stretch of bare ocean floor. It's a reef reclamation project.

I want scientific chemicals to be put into my cells, so that I can live forever. :nerdy:

First, most of the time I am afraid of death and do not want to die very often. But if it did happen, I'm an organ donor, so any useful organs can be used first. I also like living, so I would want at least my brain and skull to be cryogenically frozen so that I can have a small chance of being alive in the next century or two to see what the world is like. It is probably too expensive to be done though and the damage probably could not be reversed. At the very least my DNA would still exist and somewhat useful. I like fire, so I guess being cremated would be next on the options. Next option, an experiment, be stuffed full of McChickens and buried to see how long the preservatives in them last. I also like space, if I had enough money I would want to be launched into space to be slowly destroyed by the radiation.

And another one that is not technically possible in the near future would be to have my brain uploaded onto a computer so that I could get around the programmed cell death.

My original plan for disposal of my remains was to be packed into a giant firework, shot up over Russia, and exploded, but then I thought that was a little rude.

As I'm Buddhist I'm looking into Sky Burial, after any usable stuff is stripped off the ol' chassis.

I had to back out of the organ donation, getting a part of me would give someone else a death sentance. I don't know why the medical body donation hadn't crossed my mind. I like it. I'll need to look into, have no idea how to go about such a thing. Just bury me when they're done, where a tree might find the chemicals useful. I like to think the tree would be a little "odd" The wonderful gift of a disease that possibly could be your reaper is, you learn to smell the coffee a little better each day. If you don't, you're going to waste a wonderful gift. I don't take pity, but I do take mastercard, pity is just a waste of my time. Other's like it, no shortage around, they're the ones with the death sentance, not me.

For sure cremated and I am an organ donor.....I would let medical science use it if I could pick the research....not making pharmaceuticals richer...they would have to buy it and donate the money to a cat charity.....better yet, feed my organ harvested corpse to the cats and the crows(and any polar bears that might have survived global warming.)

most of the time... when you donate your body to science... it goes towards teaching.... docotrs gotta practice cuttin stuff somewhere... when they're done with ya, they either bury you on the school grounds (with others) or they burn you (with others)... but generally, you can't decide how they use your body.

but if you go for certain surgeries where they're removing tumors and whatnot... you can help donate that tissue to related studies and things like that.

i voted for donating...

I have non donor on my liscence, and I feel guilty but it's there because I don't want my organs to be put into a serial killer or someone that would mi-treat them. I have empathy for them.

I will probably change it to donor sooner or later when I get over that concept. Other than that - cremated.

I do too, but for different reasons.

I cannot help thinking that organ transplants, while good for the individual, is bad for society.

How much $ cost has transplant research cost? How few people does it really benefit, and what is their long term prognisis? Would there not be greater benefits if research was put into other areas?

I don't have answers to the above questions, I just think that is a bit obscene replacing the heart and lungs of an old person who has smoked all their life while other old people die of cold because they don't have blankets. :?

I also don't trust doctors not to pull out your organs before you are dead.

I wanted to see what every one else thought, because i'm debating whether to be
cremated or buried. I don't like the idea of being worm food so i'm leaning toward
cremated. I also don't want to donate my body to medical school because i know what
med students do to bodies, like dress them up in silly party hats and take them to halloween parties. I'm not to fond of going to parties either dead or alive.
