However, I hate touching gloopy things, especially if they end up going between my fingers (ugh, hate, hate, HATE), and have to have a perfectly ordered kitchen - a boyfriend would insist on tidying up around me as I cooked, moving things, chucking them in the sink, etc - and if he actually got in my way and bumped into me, I would get really stressed and chase him out of the kitchen.
We had arguments about his deciding to put various spices and seasonings on the meat or fish when I hadn't planned for them, for example, when he decided to cover it with paprika - the second time he did that, he didn't actually put it on mine, but then put them all in the same dish in the oven. He just didn't get that if I didn't want it in the food I was cooking, I just didn't want it, and his interfering with it ruined the whole meal for me.
My husband does annoying things like hang over me while I am cooking, distracting me or even wanting to add things to a dish that I am preparing. I have actually had to ask him to leave the kitchen, too! Once he insisted on adding something new to a dish I was making, and it was perfectly ruined. I asked him if he had learned anything from that!
