Don't they have a tunnel under the channel that you can drive thru now?

The Channel Tunnel is a double track railway line used by Eurostar long-distance trains and Le Shuttle roll-on roll-off car transporter services. It's a very quick journey but boring. Ferries are more fun but much slower.

but the ferrie is more expensive compared to the price Eurostar offers in summer, i checked it.

I'm not sure there are any cheap places to stay in London. I've never found any, but if you do a web search for last-minute hotel bookings a week or so before you are planning to visit, you can save a lot of money that way.

Also, buy a good guide book before you go, something like 'Let's Go~London City Guide' that will also have some recommendations for hotels, places to eat that aren't too expensive, sights, galleries etc. A lot of time and money is spent travelling around London to get to where you want to go so try and stay not too far away from the main places you'll be visiting.

Have a lovely time! :D

I'm from America so I'm not an expert on Europe, but I went to London and Paris and I really liked London the most. Of course I've never really been to the English countryside. Normandy is awesome, we stayed in a bed & breakfast in the middle of nowhere. That's a good place to visit too. I hated Paris.

i don't feel like going to paris right now either, i did have a good time every time i was there but that had nothing to do with paris. (really loved the picasso museum when i was 17)
london=first time in my life

but anyway, i booked a very cheap hostel for the 11th to the 15th :D :D
eurostar is 40€ (back = 80, two persons=160€, it's the cheapest, except a bus, but hub says busses are madness)

london here i come :D :D :D

How was your trip to London, Lemon? I see from the other cafe that you met Lau and had great fun.
