There is no reason for a real NT to have an approach of haughtiness or disdain towards AS people, if not insecurity. It is with the effort of proving to oneself and others to be normal that comes disdain and incomprehension for AS people, so they are not real NTs.

I should add that insecurity and pretending to be normal has been the history of my entire life. So before understanding that I couldn't be normal I have always been a phoney NT.

Same for me.

Well, all I can say is that I didn't name my ex-employer out of my vast literary experience. He REALLY was as much like Ebenezer Scrooge as any man I've met. A truly grasping, greedy, clutching miserly, miserable excuse for a human being.
I agree to not paint NTs with a broad black dipped brush, BUT
when they act demonic, then I choose to call a spade a spade ! !

I am new here (just realized that there seems to be a name for my curious way of being), so I'm not sure what NT stands for... "Normal" Twit? Or something to that effect? :D

I for one am going to keep on demonizing NeuroTypical's (NT's) as a way of venting my frustration at all sorts of things.

If anyone would like to take that on the same level as a Nazi declaring hatred for a Jew, or a Communist declaring hatred of the productive, or the greeny declaring hatred of all human life... then that is their responsibility, not mine.

I feel better for shouting at the world, and I'll go back to happily interacting with those individuals that I want to interact with... whether they be AS or NT or NRA or whatever.

And sometimes, the people we think are NTs may not be. We can't diagnose people by their poor attributes--all that shows is their a**hole temperament.

NT is just a label, just like AS or ASD is a label. It's not a personality. Society may be NT inclined, but it's not set in stone.

Of course, some people are just plain nuts. I guess they aren't NT.

I don't know what the hell I'm saying. I guess the terms are useless except when trying to understand myself psychologically.

Everyone is beautiful is in someway.

Just that sometimes it's a little harder to spot than others.

No one should be demonized, really, as there are going to always be good characteristics as well as bad ones in them.

Demons deconstructed topic

My three children are NTs are I love them very much. However, they are the only NTs I have ever been able to get along with. I am the parent, so I have some power and do command respect. But then this is an unequal relationship.

NTs have a herd mentality (even my children) and they will side with the majority. It takes a strong NT to go against the grain.

For every Schindler in the NT world, there are ten Goerings and twenty Goebbelses.
Thus we have encountered too few good ones.

I do look for the rare NT who has made a difference in my life, and in whose life I hope to make a difference. :)

Dont demonize NTs! Demonize the ignorant, hateful, judgemental people. There are such people in every part of society, and they sertainly aren't traits exclusive to NTs.

Agreed. There are certainly reasons that a society must protect the populace by confining those who are dangerous to themselves and others - though it is of the utmost importance that human beings, regardless of personality, are treated as such. Dehumanizing any members of humanity - whether by cruel and unusual punishment, bigotry, subtle exploitation through social hierarchy or other means - is counter-productive if one's intentions are truly humanitarian in nature.

With that said, anyone harboring thoughts of revenge or other malicious emotions should focus first on their own mental well-being before becoming involved in the issues of others.

Now that I've got the NT acronym figured out, I have to say that I've always felt a little sorry for them. How dull to be average, regular and part of a crowd. It's far more interesting to be different, and enjoy a world where the possibilities arc far beyond anything dreamed of by the norm.

Dangerous sometimes too, but when it comes to things mental, spiritual and emotional, I have always been a risk taker. There is a post-it note over my desk that I look at every day - it says, "Over The Top is my middle name."

No.

a lot of times people that are ignorant and hateful act that way because they don't know any better. I say have pity on them.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've found usually when I get angry at someone, when I settle down and do some serious self reflection, the angry comes from something that is wrong with me.

For example, when I was going out with my old street ministry, I used to get upset at what we called modern gospel (that's a message that said that people can just accept Christ, and many of them never had a change of heart, but would go off, get drunk, and do all sorts of destructive crap).

But, I finally realized that my anger came from a lack of faith that essentially said God could only act through the message that we had.

Anger is actually very destructive, but it mainly destroys the one feeling it.

I agree, I have a good friend who's NT and we get along great. There are people who have AS that act like jerks as well as NTs. The same is true the other way around. No offense, and I'm AS too, but there are some with this that can be a little narcisistic.

If this world didn't have all types of people, it would be boring.
