Thanks for the story, its certainly a very original way to get a cat! So you lost it in a way that it one day was simply poff gone without a trace? I mean it didnt die it just disappeared. Well its not impossible it went back to Portugal. I have heard such true stories about cats finding their way back to a place they been in such an impressive way.

Yes, cats are remarkable travellers. You hear about lost ones turning up miles away sometimes years later, having found another home after being lost. I think maybe they do have nine lives. :cat:
I have one comes into my kitchen and eats my cat's food while he's out (so the door is open) big, muscular black cat, semi-feral so it doesn't like people, just the occasional free-nosh. My cat's terrified of it because it's HUGE. He 'escorts it of the premises' though but that's only when the feral's decided he wants to go anyway, hehe.

I see the threadkiller's mascot kitty's name has been decided - STITCHER he is! :D

This is what happens to me everytime I get to the computer. I'm wondering if cats aren't psychics. It's the same before I get to the kitchen, they're already there as if they knew..... :?

haha, great photo! Well to prevent from this to happen then you simply shouldnt put a blanket there for them to get cozy right in front of the screen. 8) My cat also likes to be on my computertable but I have put a pillow for her next to the screen so she stick to that and dont prevent me from staying here

Before i joined WP i didnt know what a threadkiller was, after
being here a while i knew and after being here some more one
notices that sometimes a thread disappear after you post. Might
be quincidence sometimes, other times not. I dont worry so much
about being a threadkiller, as in writing something so boring
people fell asleep before having the chance to make a reply,
what bothers me is that lets say i kill a thread. Someone made
that thread and someone might have posted before i did, so that
means i screwed things up for someone else. That makes me feel
really bad sometimes :( So i`m a little more aware about thread-
killing now then when i joined, i really dont want to mess up some-
one elses stuff. I have probably done that and it will probably happen
again, but i wish it wouldn`t.

Threadkilling is an imaginary thing. Don't beat yourself up over it. Somebody has to "kill" the thread anyway, or otherwise we would only have a single one. How boring!

[quote="xalepax"]Hi Starr, Nice to see you back here, I hope you had a great time hill walking :D

Thanks xalepax - I didn't enjoy it as much as usual because I was tired, but it was still nice. I saw lots of daffodils and lambs...signs of spring. :flower:

I know what you mean, ImTheGuyThatDidThat, when I read a thread and the conversation is going really well, flowing...then I post and it stops. Clunk. Silence. I do that IRL too sometimes.

MissConstrue, I like your new avvie! Betty's 8) I'm looking for a new one, probably with peacocks.

Lemon, thats wonderful! Im happy for you :-) I guess you had your fight for this for a while. Its great to have such energy. The drawing is really nice, I like it. I saw it in the "display your artwork" thread. You have done nice artwork. Im an artist myself but dont have the encourage to promote myself in such a way. I have in the opposite way got requests for displaying my artwork in a book but I didnt want to make an effort for it...but if I was the one to take the initiative then it might be diffrent, I dont know....

Starr, so you are a regular hill climber? I had climed a mountain, twice. The best experience was a mountain that was 2028 m above the ocean. It was one of the best experiences I ever had in my life. But it was SOOO HARD!! It took the whole day from early morning to late evening and I felt it was almost killing me!

Yes, I like hill climbing and walking, I've walked up Mount Snowdon a few times - the 'easy' side where there are paths, and I've done a few other hills in the Snowdon range, the 'walkable/scramble-able' ones - plus some in the English Lake District. I've never climbed a mountain using climbing gear, have you?
I like just wandering about looking at the scenery and eating Mars bars, hehe.

Kenjuudo, yes, nice avatar - is that you?

Yes! A handful of members were confused about me being a guy or a gal, and I grew tired of explaining myself all the time.

No I have neither used any gear. Its was just walking on paths uphillish and narrow, sometimes on rocks. I also just adore the scenery :)

It's supposed to be Tifa, a female character from the game Final Fantasy 7 (and the movie "Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children").

I find it very difficult to choose avatars.

Happy spring threadkillers! And for those of us in the southern hemisphere, happy autumn.

I woke up all happy and full of energy today - must be the extra light :) Disgustingly cheerful, lol.
