Among the pages of this thread are lots of conversations, please read it to get a feeling of the pace of the the thread, it is a thread where some of us older aspies rarely post but keep in touch (and welcome other quieter type of members who fel comfortable in there - it is a little 'corner' not too busy)
Please put it back. It was harming nothing.

i understand what you're saying, but i can't see how it's really related to In-Depth Adult Issues. the people who posted in this thread will have notifications still, so they should still be able to access the thread still.

i am getting the opinions from other moderators to see what they think. it's definitely rare to have the OP of a thread still involved in it after 4.5 years. :)

Well, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is moved back.

As I said, it was in a quiet place for posters who find Random a bit too quick-moving. Most of us wouldn't post if it were in Random (but thread welcome to all of course) In Depth feels like its natural home and there are quite deep conversations/members feeling expressed within the pages - wrapped within the 'joke' of threadkilling...other things were often expressed.
Lemon could explain it much better, I am not so good with words.
So I will just say, to keep the 'spirit' of thread, it would be better where it was. Thanks for being open to discussion about it :)

moved from Random Discussion to In-Depth Adult Life Discussion

it doesn't really fit to be honest, but it was in the other forum for so long that i don't want to cause upset for people who are looking for the thread

Ah, great to be back home. Happy Starr today. Just got the unpacking to do then a bit of threadkilling :D
Thanks for moving it back
I appreciate moderation that is open to discussion...makes for a more civilized and 'adult' place where members feelings are taken into account. Well done WP! :)

I was thinking I should post a wall of text, but then I realized not even a wall could stop this thread.

Haha, I'm new here but I gather this thread has quite a history?! 8O

I think I purposefully kill threads, at least subconsciously. I'm only just now getting diagnosed, but all my life I've known that I'm just not good at interacting with people. So whenever I respond to forums, emails etc., I purposely do it in a way that doesn't pressure the other person to respond.

So I think I've become an expert at killing conversations before they get a chance to become awkward!

I almost read that as "Do you worry that you might be a serial killer?" I was thinking, "Whaaaat?!"

I've been killing quite a few threads lately so I thought I'd come here and get some confidence back. as this thread appears to be immortal.
But after 176 pages, do I really want to give it the kss of death????

O hang on...

I sometimes get carried away and make such a long post, people tire of reading it and simply don't reply, so it kills the "flow".

Most often, though, for some reason people simply ignore me and continue the thread like my comment never posted. Much like when i get a word in edgewise in real life. They look at me when I make my comment, there's a brief pause where everyone stares ahead, and then they turn back to their previous positions and continue their conversation like my comment never happened. I think my "story" is related to the conversation, but for some reason in their minds it is not like the others.

I also get all this. I don't understand what the issue is, though. I suspect that at least part of it is *I* think I'm sharing information by chatting, but *they* are actually doing vocal bonding rituals I can't see and the actual topic isn't meaningful (so therefore I don't play "right" and look like a reject).
