What is your first name? Christine

Current perseverations: Not sure, they change so quickly. I maintain an interest in the autistic spectrum, but I currently like barbed wire and robots and games and musical instrument repair. And I want to learn to play the pipe organ and accordian. Maybe at the same time. 
When did you discover AS? I was researching autism in general because I had some responsibility for a little girl at chuch with it. I was helping her adapt to the sundayschool class for her agegroup rather than the toddler room... And then Asperger's came onto the google radar. And I think I fit the bill...
Do you have other psych diagnoses? ADHD
Do you have a degree? Will start towards a diploma in Early Childhood Education in September. And then I want to learn about instrument repair but not sure how to go about it...
Kids? Eventually! At least two, because no child should grow up without a sibling 
Favorite music, other than NIN 
: I've never heard them.
Job? Currently a live-in nanny. Only lasts till first week of August though.
Relationship with significant other, past or present? Still with my boyfriend of six months. He is my first, and we've been discussing marriage... 
He's also younger than me. We've known each other for about 3 years.
Plans for the future? College, moving away, getting married/finding a way for bf to move here, and then we want to live on the East Coast of Canada.
Anything else you feel is pertinent: Robots! Also I don't know how to make the baby stop crying.

- At the age of 10 they diagnosed ADHD, but I think I was mis-diagnosed.

When did you discover AS? When a disgnosed AS suggested I take the test in Wired... and I scored 46. That lead to further analysis.

Current perseverations: Autism, psychology...afraid that's it for the moment.
When did you discover AS?: 4 years ago
Do you have other psych diagnoses?: No, but my mom seriously wondered if I was schizoid back when I was a kid, does that count? 
Do you have a degree?: No, just a grad of a year long course in Web Design.
Kids?: No, I have pets...and more pets.
Favorite music, other than NIN: A little bit of everything. I hate being pigeon-holed or stereotyped based on my favorite bands, so I'm being purposely evasive, sorry! I'll loosen up eventually! 
Job?: Recently unemployed.
Relationship with significant other, past or present?: Yes, been with the same man for the last 20+ years.
Plans for the future?: Working on ways to make a living based on my creative strengths. Web design isn't doing it anymore, as health problems have gotten in the way of that.
Anything else you feel is pertinent: Hmmm...I've been admin at another forum for the past 4 years...so if I seem to come and go here at times, it's because that keeps me busy periodically.

Cool taste in music, mate. Genesis isn't a band I ever heard much of nor got into, but I found the comment about Phil Collins amusing.

The Peter Gabriel period of Genesis is more like Pink Floyd and you can hear where Marillion got it's influence, not that I don't like the Phil Collins Genesis, but it's not as good
A tip for all travellers to The Netherlands: don't combine drugs and alcohol, don't take the strongest weed, our not-so-strong weed is already strong enough for you, don't go to a tourist coffee shop you get crap to smoke and pay too much.
I also use the quote out of personal experience, Nietzsche said more things that match my experiences, but now I feel this way, who knows, maybe I have another quote soon
Edit: those sentences are almost the same size, funny

Do you have other psych diagnoses? Major Depression (previously doctors thought I had ADHD and schizoid personality disorder, may have some ADHD)
Do you have a degree? I have an Associates of Applied Science from a technical college.
Kids? I hope not!
Favorite music, other than NIN The Microphones/Mount Eerie, Four Tet, William Basinski, everything but bad rap and bad country
Job? Unemployed, was employed in IT for 2 and a half years previously.

Plans for the future? Kick this depression's butt and start figuring out who I am, hopefully someday find a wife and settle down somewhere quiet.
