I wanna join again....

To Apatura, and other aspiring Dinos:
You may be allowed to join the Dino-Aspie Cafe on an honorary basis.
You will need to answer the following questions:

1. What do you do when there are three people talking to you and the fire alarm and sprinkler system are activated all at once?
Nothing much. Finish answering any outstanding questions. Phone the fire brigade. Turn off the sprinklers. Possibly not in that order.
...
Then I'll go where no one can find me... and stare at the wall... for a couple of days... looking at all the fascinating patterns in the grains of sand in the mortar between the two bricks 3 up from the bottom and second and third in from the left.

2. What color jello grosses you out most?
Can't answer this one until I lookup jello... not a good start: Wiktionary doesn't have it... i thought as much... Wikipedia manages
Jell-O, which naturally, I knew all the time.

And now... I've forgotten what the question was.... now that I look, what Jell-O/jelly is
made of grosses me out quite a bit. (Though I like that stuff in pork pies that manufacturers these days seem to try hard not to put in). Have I covered it all yet? No. Still haven't answered the question. Maybe all colours, bar octaroon.

3. How many aspies does it take to change a light bulb?
I know this one. One. I can't recall why. I think it should be... near infinity, or at least a bit indeterminate. If the aspie in question needs the light to read their book, the "one" answer is correct. If there's no direct need for the light, why would changing the light bulb be of any interest?

4. Would you be willing to feed us - the elder aspies - muffins? If yes, with or without butter?
Actually, I've been meaning to say... I prefer crumpets. (I know my cake's run out, and there's this new brain influx, all with digital mouths to feed. I might have to cook up something else.)

5. What do you do with a raw egg?
Make a soufflé omelette... with crunchy bits.

You will be graded by the members of the cafe, in separate postings. 20 points per question, originality counts.

And I really should post, but I'm drifting off with thoughts of grains of sand, silicon dioxide, neither of which elements come into existence without a star going nova, unless current theory has changed on that.
Which brings me to the quark urban myth? Which is that when Millikan did his original oil drop experiments, his (still available?) records show the (inaccurate) charge on a single electron quite clearly. All the one or two thirds results - he discarded them as experimental error. I.e. free quarks existed until Millikan decided not to believe in them. Theory drives reality.
And now I'm off again. A bit of research, and I can't track down any trace of my own urban myth. Maybe I should report it to
Darwin Awards? Not really, as it doesn't involve gene pool cleaning. I've just tried to join the Mythbusters' site (Discovery), but can't seem to manage that. Lots of error 404.
Shall I post? Why not... (submit)
