I left off posting on WP for 25 days. No one noticed. The departure of one member makes no difference to the WP community, yet starting a "Should I stay or should I go?" thread is almost certain to draw attention.

I think many people noticed and missed your posts. I know I did. I think people only post a small percentage of what they think and feel regarding other people who post.

Fnord - Believe it or not, I noticed. I was thinking of starting another "What Happened To Fnord?" thread, but decided against it.

Whenever I see one of those threads, I wonder whether anyone would reply if I were to start such a thread. I am guessing no one would care. Which is fine by me.

I noticed you were gone, too.

I didn't take it as her looking for attention I took it as her thinking things through with other people. Though you're right about this sort of thread drawing attention.

Sure ... now you all say that you've "noticed" my absence ...

B19 sure is a lucky fellow to have so many people concerned for him.

Were you watching?

And I think B19 is a very lucky lady too in many ways. At least I thought she was female, am I wrong on that?

I thought she was a female. I liked B19 but I never said anything. I think a lot of posters do that - have very positive feelings toward other posters but never say anything.

B19 will be back. She is simply taking a vacation from WrongPlanet.net. That is all.

She's a nice intellectual lady who reads, and shares, lots of articles pertaining to autism.

I had no idea B19 was a woman.

Not that it matters. Yet, it simply another reminder of how clueless/oblivious I am. I thought it (that is, being clueless/oblivious) was only in the real world. But, now I suppose it's in the virtual world as well.

I liked it when you could go to the person's profile page and see their gender. I usually guessed wrong. I wish that putting gender was an option now. They could include more than male/female.

I mistook members' avatars as representations of their genders for the first six months that I was on WrongPlanet.net. Of course, I knew that various avatars were images of actors and comedians, but it took a while for me to realize that the portrayed genders weren't accurate.

Fnord, there was that member's only thread asking where you had gone...

Your absence was felt and noted. Even by many of us who didn't post about it. And then end of your sabbatical was welcomed.

From my perspective, it is oftentimes helpful to know if someone is male/female, what their age is, what their "diagnosis status" is (e.g. particularly knowing which posters are neurotypical - as they often have perspectives that are quite interesting).

I suppose I could create a little excel sheet to track this, but why.

Nobody seems to aknowlege the thousands of agents of destruction planted all over these kinds of sites. They are employed to wreck and bend things. I think their job title is something like cyber ninja. Paid by those who understand power and influence. You can not always recognize them but everybody who goes online should be aware that these professionals are on the prowl. Some people feel very threatened by our abilities.

Don't let them get to you. I understand the other reasons you've stated. I wish you joy and wellness in every moment. You will be back.
