I think it is absurd that we have this mental maturity age. What has maturity go to do with age anyway? I'm pretty sure if 28 year olds could be tested the majority would be 'young' in maturity.

In my experience when people get a little bit older say around 60 many start acting like kids again :) and also slobbering

Just say you don’t want to hang with young people. It’s cool. I doubt anyone would get offended. There are some old people especially my parent’s circle I’d rather be dead than be around. Some old people I don’t mind. I don’t patronise people younger/older than me. I don’t wish to be patronised by anyone young or old.

I haven't been around here, lately. I'm starting to doubt that I have the maturity of a 28 year old.

It won't keep you out. They haven't booted me
yet, and I'm WAY under.

I know I don't have the maturity of a 28 year old. So I've booted myself out. I have a self-booting mechanism

Physical maturity has to do with how long you've been on this earth, mental maturity is a little harder but I think it usually has to do with with how you respond to your envioment, for example if you throw a fit because you didn't get a lollie it's pretty safe to say that you're not very mature, although I think it's even harder to say how mature Aspies and other people with mental disorders are, after all how do you distinguish how the disorder is affecting them and when? I suppose there'd have to be tests done.

Oh and I've done an Okcupid test before and gotten the "Adult" result, I think that qualifies.

Especially since it should be divided into intellectual and emotional maturity.

Sorry, a one word question ain't helping
here, assuming that you understand the
word. I just can't read your confusion
without a bit more of a clue.

You said "Intellectual maturity", but what is that? Do you mean IQ?

Well, not exactly. IQ is rather specific.
But, perhaps it is a part of intellectual
maturity. I think that my emotional
maturity has always been much less
than my intellectual (though as I get
stupider, and older - they may be
growing together).

I don't get it, is this like intelligence and wisdom? Because that's always said to me "IQ and life experience", the more you experience life the less you judge people and the more you come to understand the world (Like dealing this or that situation, say instead of getting angry at someone you try to firgure out why you're angry and why they made you angry ect), the sort of thing that can only come with living, but IQ is just something you're born with and never changes, or only changes slightly and it helps you come to an understanding quicker than you might have if you had a lower IQ.

What doesn't make sense is that you say that you're getting dumber as you get older, yet you say that they're both increasing, so am I wrong?
