Pretorious,
On the radio I was listening to Walter Williams who announced that that day was his fortieth wedding anniversary, but he did not want anyone to congratulate him. There wasn't anything to congratulate him for. He could get a better wife. His wife could get a better husband. But both of them were just too tired to go out and look. I laughed so hard, I nearly had to pull the car over.

We always say we're the only two who could actually stand to live with the other one. Truer words were never spoken. No one else would last five minutes with either one of us. We have to stay together. :D

Too true, too very true ....

(One of these fine days I'll post a pic of our wedding. It has to be seen to be believed ...)

I don't think so unless they just haven't said they have.

Sad, that situation. I imagine she's in process of getting a divorce. No doubt overwhelmed...

Since I am not married, I have stayed out of this discussion thread, but here are all my old friends! I hope you don't mind if I lurk here so I can be with you all. Not being married at this time dosn't mean I haven't been married!

Merle

TM will ask me something like "is this necklace pretty?" I know how to approach this now, but I used to get in trouble all the time with such questions. I can't just answer "oh quite luvly", oh no, I have to admire it's color, and comment on how well it will go along with her dresses, admire it's handiwork, and then compliment on not spending too much on it. I don't mind it, she's my one and only, and if I have to oooh and ahhh over jewelry and clothing, it's worth it.

Well, I can understand where your missus is coming from with this one Prof.
We like our hubbies to show full interest in what we're talking about, a blanket 'oh yes, that's nice' from behind a newpaper just won't do, lol. I'm not suggesting you do that, but some men do. 8O Only your complete attention will do! :)
