I looked young until a couple years after I started working graveyard shift. It seemed like I aged ten years overnight.

I'm 21 but everybody thinks I am 16.

I'm 39 and people are always shocked when I tell them. They usually think I'm early to mid 20's. Whenever another woman asks what I "do" to look so young, I have to resist the urge to go into a long explanation. I have theories as to why we Aspies do look so young, such as minimal facial expressions, avoidance of the sun, a tendency towards vegetarianism, and blah, blah, blah. I've learned to just tell them that I use a particular product, and leave it be.

lol.

People say I'm around sixteen or so. I'm also really childish, so when my friends found out how old I was they just sort of stood their stunned.

No one's mistaken me for a teenager in quite a while, but despite having turned 40 in September, most people think I'm in my mid-late 20s. My boyfriend's 29 and looks young, and people usually think we're the same age. I'm pretty sure, though, based on how my family ages, it probably has less to do with AS and more to do with my fabulous genes! :D

Strangely enough, though, when I was in my teens and 20s, most people thought I was WAY older.

I'm 26 years old and everybody assumes that I'm 18, which makes things like buying alcohol or entering a nightclub a bit of a hassle.

I'm 26 and frequently (as in at least once a week) get mistaken for a young teenager (13-14).

Even at work, I get the whole "oh, so where do you go to high school?" thing. Uhm, that's been all done for years...

I'm 29, and I actually look *older* than my age--late 30s/early 40s.

I look a lot younger than I am but mostly my mentality is "teenagerish".

I wish you would have said all the blah, blah, blah because it's VERY interesting! Please DO tell.
I didn't start looking my age until about 42. Before then, I was always told I looked about 19.
Now I have an old looking baby-face. Get a picture of a 6 month old and do age progression on it and you got me!

Seconding that request!

I keep out of the sun (I hate being too hot and that feeling of my skin slowly cooking is vile) and I've been veggie for twenty odd years... hmmmmm.

I was at a party at the weekend (Aspie at a party!? What is the world coming to?) and two separate people that I'd never met before both thought I was early to mid twenties - I'm 35 this year and I've got grey in my hair that I can't be bothered to cover up. One of them asked me if I still lived at home with my parents and looked like they were going to fall over when I told them I've had my own house for eight years.

Yeah, people tell me I look like I'm in highschool

I'm a bad judge of age so I have no idea if this is true

People sometimes ask me if I'm still at high school and I'm like, 'I haven't been in high school for 10 years!' And they're surprised at that. Personally, I'm surprised that I haven't been questioned by truancy officers yet! It's just a matter of time, I guess.
