It is a gloriously sunny day here as well :sunny: . It definitely lightens the mood when it's so bright.

Ah Bazza, for a minute there I thought you were singing to me, what with your avvie looking up at mine, adoringly. :P

the Seductress Image is back!! !! :P

When I sing to you, it won't be a Yoko Ono song, but something like ....

It might be the color of the sun cut flat
And covering the crossroads I'm standing at
Or maybe it's the weather or something like that
Cause baby you've been on my mind

I don't mean trouble, please don't put me down
Don't get upset, I am not pleading
Or saying I can't forget you
Well it don't even matter who you awaken with tomorrow
Cause baby you've been on my mind

(Bob Dylan, as performed by Linda Ronstadt)

The Mist Covered Mountains is one of my favorite scottish songs:

Oh ro soon shall I see them;
Oh he ro see them oh see them.
Oh ro soon shall I see them the
mist covered mountains of home.

There shall I visit the place of my birth
And they'll give me a welcome the warmest on earth
All so loving and kind full of music and mirth,
In the sweet sounding language of home.

Chorus
Oh ro soon shall I see them;
Oh he ro see them oh see them.
Oh ro soon shall I see them the
mist covered mountains of home.

There shall I gaze on the mountains again,
On the fields and the woods and the burns and the glens,
Away 'mong the corries beyond human ken
In the haunts of the deer I will roam

Chorus
Oh ro soon shall I see them;
Oh he ro see them oh see them.
Oh ro soon shall I see them the
mist covered mountains of home.

Hail to the mountains with summits of blue,
To the glens with their meadows of sunshine and dew.
To the women and men ever constant and true,
Ever ready to welcome one home.

Mark Knopfler did a nice arrangement in Local Hero. Its best on bagpipes though played slower.

nice song,
although the lyrics do in no way apply to me,
the place where i was born is flat,
and most of my familymembers are already dead,
don't think they'll sing me welcome no more ;-)

tomorrow is diagnosis day 1 for lemon ...

:? Did I miss something? Are you getting a Dx?

Why do you think you need one?

What if the shrink says you are not aspie, but just a dag (nerd)?

(personal questions, that should kill this thread - lol)

I like your song, Bazza. :)

I think of you as 'forest Lady' Lemon, because you go for runs in the forest. So maybe the song 'Flowers of the Forest' for you. I don't know if it has words, but it is a beautiful tune often played on the bagpipes here :)

I'm curious too...you are having the DX for AS?

Will you tell us how you get on?

a nerd is fine with me bazza ;-)
yes, i'm going for an AS dx in an autism center tomorrow.
i need one because of my son, and perhaps also to explore possibilities for contact with other people having AS.
and maybe to find someone who could enlighten me somewhat more on nt-communication.
you made the thread serious, it's not dead though (i could talk about the subject for hours, days, weeks, months, years ...)
:-o

I do. I hate being the last person to post in a thread, especially if it's a few hours before someone else posts. I always think I've posted something either boring, off-topic, or offensive without realizing it and everyone's being too polite to tell me. In fact I wish I could squeeze my post in between posts that are already there. Anyone else hate seeing their name in the 'last post' column on the right of the forum?

Someone post after me! Quick!! ! :)

I don't worry but sometimes think my arguments did it because they know I'm right so they shut up about it because I like to argue and they know what might be coming.

Sometimes it's not worth arguing with someone so perhaps they are doing the same with me is which I like.
