I had a meeting with my CPN and someone from another mental health service today and the other lady asked what I did in my free time. I said I drank coffee and went on the internet. After further questioning I went on to say how I went to a mental health drop in on Fridays, saw my best friend on Tuesdays and went to the Mind disco once a month. My CPN said "see, you do have friends". I feel like she was accusing me of misleading the other lady about my life, but actually I just misinterpreted the question because if I have a scheduled activity where I have arranged to meet someone or do something at a particular time I consider myself to be busy and she had asked me what I did in my free time. I am not sure whether I should tell her I misunderstood, because I don't want her to think I was deliberately making my life out to be worse than it is, or just to let it lie. I am not diagnosed with Aspergers.

i would let it go. miscommunications are common, even among those who behave neurotypically. only important ones need to be cleared up.

i would change my advice if you are feeling very bad about it. getting your explanation out there might help your worker to have a clearer picture of who you are.
