Just wondering, do you think Mr. Bean has Aspergers?

Now, to be sure I don't cross the wires, I don't mean Rowan Atkinson himself, I refer to the Mr. Bean character.

Mr. Bean is the only British show I like and one of my all time favorites. It's too bad there are only 14(?) episodes as I've seen them all many times. I can definitely see a lot of myself in him but I would go so far as to say he is an Aspie. Child in man's body like me? You bet!

Yes, I have been exploring the notion of aspies who are able to be funny. I have ruled out the standard 'joke' with a punchline; far too much timing and sequence involved. However, I think aspies are naturals at Mr. Bean type acts. We don't even have to try it is ust what we mostly do anyway.

I love Mr.Bean,I watched an interview with Rowan Atkinson and he mentioned a French actor that he got a lot of ideas from for the Mr.Bean character. The actor was Jaques Tati and the movie is ' Mr. Hulot's Holiday',I enjoyed it.

Hmmm, maybe I should start collecting asperger-related movie and video material. That would be an interesting divergence from my book collecting. I'll have think about this, maybe start a list of movies and vids worth collecting and then maybe mmmm, yes, I think I gonna dothis

There are various movie and cartoon spin-offs. Also, Rowan Atkinson's character heavily influences some of the other films he's been in.

I think he's more like a nearly-mute childlike prankster with autistic traits than an Aspie per se.
