Can you be your own SSI payee? I would like to be my own SSI payee, but I don't think that will work. How would you end the SSI monthly income?

I ended mine by working full time. After a while they cut you off and then you have to reapply again after a certain amount of time.

Yes you can be your own payee but it is lot of work and I sometimes wish I kept a payee. You always have to report any changes in your situation like marriage or separation, new addition to the family, and the list is long I can't remember it all. I am sure it's online on their website.

From my understanding you can only work $8 an hour up to 33 hrs a week not to go over $1070 a month IF your on SSD.
