oh, goodness, one of those figures of speach or reference to somethings! I have so much trouble with thoses, I don't realize what they mean half the time!

Take for instance "better to be safe than sorry." I thought it was a CHOICE they were giving me with their opinion tacked on... that I could be safe or I could be sorry and their choice was to be safe. But I could CHOSE safe or sorry. So. . of course the 'sorry' always looked better to me some how and I tried to chose it. This caused all sorts of issues with the person giving me the 'choice!' and they browbeated me into doing what I thought was THEIR choice of the 'safe' way. So, I realize now that that set me up for doing the 'sorry' choice every time I got a chance to be away from them. Geeze, I could have saved myself so much sorrow had I just understood the phrase!

I'm 56. Already I've qualified for a little age-related perk from the community. Looking forward to more. Especially cheap bus tickets.

I'm 6 years younger than Pierce Brosnan, who of course played James Bond until recently.
Well,ok it means I'm 47 but the above sounds better

56

I only use dog years when speaking about my married life, which would be, been marrid for 112 years and that's only the good one. The first one defies time itself.

I posted earlier, I am 43, but thanks to the talk on other threads about The Clash and The Ramones etc. and for the good work of Doctor Cabarnet Sauvignon, I am now consideribly younger. For this I am, if not eternally, but deludedley grateful.

I feel the same I'm 37 by the way. I doubt I will be following or posting in this forum much other than in the few days while it is still novel to my ADHD brain.

ooooo 21 I remember that one, err sorta. Snuck off base on my birthday, got drunk as skunk in Ciudad Jurez on cheap wine. I was AWOL, guess I've always been AWOL. Damn I was sick as a dog that next day. Wasn't the vintage stuff I was drinking 2 years before further south, no it was not. I can still taste that stuff, no it isn't the vintage.

Well if we're doing half age here, got to take of the shoes and socks to figure this one out. 28? Lets see where was I then? Probably drunk as a skunk some place here in the states, on cheap beer. yeah I can still taste that too. Scuse me I think I need to go get sick.
