As suggested by Garyww in this thread.

I think we need a pictoral fashion thread for everybody to post in and get ripped apart for our sense of style, kind of like that program that was on TV.

ok...I go first!!

This is what I wore to the Houston Art Crawl..this event where people go on tours of all these different galleries.

It is crazy how few photos i can find of myself where I am not in costume. This technically is me not in costume, but it is my idea of being "dressed up"

I was somewhat remotely aware that I looked like a circus tent.

I like it too, actually....and I would have worn the exact same outfit when I was 17.
Technically though, it seems to make me look like I have a tiny head and a giant body. I have a sort of "slouchy" figure, and when I am not cinched in a silly corset bra, I cover it up with layers...and sometimes that backfires.

Once I actually learned how to dress myself, sometime in my early-mid teens, I went way weird with it. I feel really uncomfortable in "normal" clothes....in fact, I simply can't do it....even if I try, it comes out weird.

Very stylish but it makes you look all blurry on my screen.

Here's my normal attire. I get criticized at lot since older men aren't supposed to wear jeans. I usually only buy shirst and jeans about 5 or 6 at a time once I find a brand that are made of very soft cotton. Clothes have to have a certain feel for me. I almost always wear black as it does not show grease, oil and dirt. I have two sport coats for when I have to get dressed up and one dark suit for funerals and one tux for formal occassions, also lots of sweaters. I like to be warm.

ok I'm not really a big fashion person, I'm more of a jeans and frocks and tank tops person, like seen here (I'm the one in sunglasses):

Image

^^these trainers are almost in pieces by now, I've had them for 2 years, but they are just so damn comfortable... the bag is a great vintage leather piece but it's not the best pic.

I admit that I am a bit of a snob for comfortable, high quality fabrics, like this silk dress that I bought for my best friends wedding:

I spent a small fortune on it but I love the detail on the front and the fabric, and the colour...

What country are you in in the first picture? I like the buildings.

I am not into fashion. Sorry.

The dress isn't all that great for you but the car is for sure so keep that, ditch the dress and get back iinto jeans.

Anna-bannana, I say keep the dress and find someone like this well-dressed fellow to go stylin with:

That's me in 1970. My parents were into suits and ties.

Anna....love, love, LOVE that dress! (And the car, too, for that matter)

Also, girls who wear black flowers in their hair are better than everyone else. :D

@sartresue, it's Edinburgh, the most awesome city in the world! the architecture there is amazing!! !

@garyw yeah, I got this a lot from men while wearing it, like what kind of a dress is it if you're not showing any cleavage :? it's all about the detail, man!

thanks, Roisin :D and I agree, the car was great (it was the same car as the one in which Kennedy was killed, sorry but can't remember the make) but unfortunately I wasn't the one who was driving it.

and Zonder you were definitely born to wear suits :)
