Open Letter to Sarah Palin
"With nearly 54 million Americans living with disabilities today, we have a responsibility to ensure they have better access, more opportunities, and increased independence. "
Obama cosponsored the Reformed ADA. McCain was against it.
Obama brings hope and change. McCain brings same old, same old.
Dear Sarah,
I wish the Republicans would stop sheltering you Ms. Palin; you're going to need to answer questions sooner or later!
This is not a reality show, American Idol or a pageant.
Don't mind me, OK.
I truely believe you are the real deal. But NOT for me and mine!
I do not believe creationism should be tought in public schools!
I do not trust that you would care for the planet or its citizens, due to your fundamentalist beliefs, policies as well as the fact that you have enough to handle in your personal life.
I think its obvious to most of us (hopefully)why carl rove, oops John Mccain choose you.
YOU and mccain ARE a part of the REPUBLICAN party, stop trying pull the wool over peoples eyes with all the denial, using the joint marketing buzz word "MAVERICK".
Tell you freinds to stop Swift boating, and this new one.... The BATE AND SWITCH, done by the republican oil man T. Boone Pickens; spends a few months running commercials boosting clean renewable wind and solar to get conserned people pumped, then slowly renders it down to... We need to produce our own fuel here at home! WE NEED TO DRILL! DRILL NOW! Its gross! Maybe a scheme, hmm was he conspiring for his republicans? Are they afaid they will loose business? I hope people can see through the tricks. Obama has a REAL clean renewable energy plan.
Maybe you will win Palin, I suspect you might cause I'm afraid I don't have that much faith in the american electorate.
If you do win... congrats.
PS- note to God, or energys/source or something -please bless America, help to keep our country safe without war and terrible lies.
thanks
Missy:)
that was fun! It made me feel better.
oh and everyone, steer clear of FOX NEWS - Yukky! ![]()
Nor do I when I heard her bragging about not aborting her son Trig I was like WTF what do you want a medal I mean sure you did the right thing but come on its nothing out of the ordinary like jumping out in front of a bus to save someone.
Oh and I agree with you too apprivoiser, if MCcain and this woman get in the white house its all going down hill fast. However I think you have connected the dots in the wrong way, T. Boone Pickens is not connected to MCain or the witch anymore than you or I am.

She seems to be doing well in the Charles Gibson interview (and by the way, when was the last time anyone asked any presidential candidate if they ever met the leader of a foreign country, or was accused of being an unfit parent (Bill Clinton, anyone?)?)
But at least teach that evolution is still a theory, not a fact.
So at least we know who's pulling the strings in Republican party; who chose Obama?
So are you also against people who blow the whistle on liars, which is what Swift-Boating is?
Don't. Why are they evil? Is it because they offer viewers a point of view that isn't being repeated by every other TV network in the country? Besides, if McCain wins, as it's looking right now, don't you want to know why?
Sarah Palin is "as real as it gets," and she does have a personal understanding of the struggles individuals with disabilities and their families face in our country. Not only does she have a son with Down syndrome, but she also has a nephew with autism. In Alaska, Sarah Palin has worked to increase disability awareness and she even went as far as sending out a proclamation to all of Alaska professionals who work with individuals with disabilities, and the general public, identifying an Alaska Autism Awareness Day, to be recognized by all Alaska residents. She has worked to "increase funding for disability services"(even though many of these websites wrongly accuse her of doing the opposite) in the schools and other state agencies that serve individuals with disabilities and their families. Rather than disclaiming her and being upset that she is reaching out to families impacted by disabilities, "be happy there is finally someone out there that hopes to help improve the lives of individuals and their families impacted by disabilities."
Being an Alaskan special educator myself, an autism consultant, and the parent of a young adult with severe autism, I am so thankful to have Sarah Palin in our corner. She is a woman of great integrity and character and she "is a true and sincere advocate for individuals with disabilities," both children and adults, and their families. Every adult with a disability out there is "someone's child," which is who she addressed in her speech at the RNC.
can't trust someone who lies from the very beginning. she did NOT say no to the "bridge to nowhere"...she just backed off when the project became an albatross and made the state a laughingstock...and kept the $400 million. Alaska is #1 in per capita spending, so earmarks like crazy. so no, she's not tough on pork or a model of fiscal responsibility.
her bio is fascinating. as a person she's intriguing. but she's not a long-range thinker, as evidenced by her fiscal policies. and neither is mccain, as evidenced by tapping palin to be his running mate. he brought her in to cause enough buzz to swing discontented female voters his way, and assuage the guilt of those who otherwise might feel they were standing in the way of history. he's going for the win, screw the country. he wants to "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb iran", she thinks the war is from god. well, may the flying spaghetti monster help us all if these two get elected.
until very recently, alaskan rape victims were CHARGED for their rape kits. alaska has one of the highest rates of rape and domestic abuse in the nation-which is NOT palin's fault. but the issue of the charge for the rape kits has been discussed at the highest levels of alaskan government-if she missed it, she is woefully out of touch. doesn't bode well.

Both of your 'parties' seem so vague and inconsistent I honestly can't muddle through what the devil they stand for????
The major American political parties aren't ideological entities. The Democrats are generally considered to be more left-wing and the Republicans more right-wing (now - I would emphasize that this is not necessarily the case historically), but neither one openly subscribes to a specific ideology.
This is not like other countries where the political parties are explicitly ideological - e.g. in the UK the Conservatives are obviously meant to be conservative, the Liberal Democrats liberal, and Labour socialist. The same is the case in Canada with the Conservatives, Liberals and New Democrats (socialists). In Germany you have the Christian Democrats, Social Democrats, Free Democrats (liberals), Green Party and Left Party (left-wing socialists/communists).
Don't. Why are they evil? Is it because they offer viewers a point of view that isn't being repeated by every other TV network in the country?
FOX news is internationally renowned for being sensationalist, biased propaganda, providing a twisted version of the truth in order to get viewers in, or worse to make viewers believe whatever Murdoch and his bankroll want them to. All it takes is a bit of carefully presented persuasion & the masses wil believe anything.
Surely you'd prefer to get your news from independent & reliable sources?

#1) She will not submit herself to REAL scrutiny, um until she feels that shes treated with (deferance); she must engage and participate, not just show up or arrange for special treatment. The republican party has been deflecting questions aimed at her. They've all been jumping ship; they will not take responsibility for the mess there party has gotten us into... They will not just defend themselves as republicans; in fact they've been masquerading as something else... this maverack crap... euw! He voted 95% of the time with bush, come on. These specific republicains think campaigning is about making crazy claims and mistruths, in my view.
But at least teach that evolution is still a theory, not a fact.
#2)In the US we don't burn witches or bibles... we have this thing called the "seperation of church and state."- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separation ... _and_state. This means something to most of us.
Many of us believe science is important, such as the lifecycle/biology, moleculer studies, genetics etc...
So at least we know who's pulling the strings in Republican party; who chose Obama?
#3)Free hardworking American's chose Obama, he wasn't just invited.
So are you also against people who blow the whistle on liars, which is what Swift-Boating is?
#4)I am against people like T. Boone Pickens whom recognized the desire in this country for alternative energy; he claimed that he was bipartisan and ran adds pushing his clean energy campaign... Months later after he gets this segment(liberal-mostly)stoked he then begins to use the same language Mccain uses(drill, drill now!) and vice versa- an attempt to pull in that crowd who would most definitely not belong to the republican party, due to those very differences on the issues. And other wealthy greedy dudes who don't want to pay there fare share of taxes, who have the means to write books full of absolute lies, which are almost instantly debunked. Thats what I'm talking about.
Don't. Why are they evil? Is it because they offer viewers a point of view that isn't being repeated by every other TV network in the country? Besides, if McCain wins, as it's looking right now, don't you want to know why?
#5)Take a hard look at all the "ALERTS" on faux news.
A republican, one man(Rupert Murdoch) owns that station and so much of our media market. Of course he wants to effect us and influence our opinions, for his almighty dollar...
http://la.indymedia.org/news/2003/04/47530.php
To anyone who can't take the time to seek out info, do us all a favor and please pay attention.
Don't fall for the republican mantra right now,"He'll raise taxes!"
Unless you are making a quarter of a million or more, your taxes will be the same or decreased; 95% of all Americans will not be effected... Baraks focus is on the middle class. No more trickle down! Our economy will improve and prosper from the bottom up!
What I mean by"she's the real deal", is that we need to start taking this seriously!
Ahh! I could keep on going on and on about this stuff:)

I don't believe in rushing to judgement about anyone, even someone like Sarah Palin. I don't know where you all get 99% of your ideas about what she stands for and what she would be capable of doing in office, considering that we have a huge majority of dems that only will grow this election. I don't understand why you are so much in an uproar over issues that honestly serve no purpose - most issues that are debated endlessly should be dropped because no Congress or President will ever reach a decision on it, at least not for decades (and if we are not talking politics, then what purpose does it serve to debate something for years when you could have reached conclusion on hudreds of things in the mean time).
Please don't get me wrong, I do believe that there is room for debate here, just more organized debate, and debate of an issue that we will come to a conclusion with sometime soon. I don't believe bashing some politician because you don't like them, this starting from what seems to me to be a letter that really serves no purpose in that, is going to get you anywhere. You need to be more organized, more structured, more focused. If you really want to give her a bashing, if you feel the need to, then you must learn how to control your anger, focus it, and utilize it as a tool for your writing. Don't write chaotically, don't write hatefully. Write like I'm writing now. No swear words, nothing threatening, very focused, very thorough. Dress your writing to impress. Do all this, and you will get your point across. Write as you have on this forum, and you will be on the secret service watch list for the next 25 years. Got it?
