I think one of the side effects of increasing awareness about Autism means that there will be a much more pronounced social stigma attached to it unfortunately.

You say "insult" and I understand they mean to be mean, they intend to offend.

I do not emotionally perceive autism or aspie as a pejorative even when the intention is there.

I have compassion for those hurt but the cruel words and intentions of those that use our autism or any of our other attributes as an insults.

I Usually Take it as a complement and tell them to stop giving out my personal information, Mostly as a joke. :lol: Though I despise people doing this, because Let's be honest one can only see where that came from. I looking at you Autism Speaks.
