‘Autism Is, Autism Isn’t’

Quote:
On Saturday, the East Springfield Library Branch hosted “Autism Is, Autism Isn’t,” an event aimed at addressing the misconceptions surrounding autism and neurodivergence in teenagers and adults of color.

A panel of speakers shared their personal experiences living on the spectrum and offered encouragement and information to participants.

The program was supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

institute of Library services sponsored it? Interesting! General information sharing is the primary function of a library, this makes sense to me, but it surprised me. I wonder whose idea it was and how they managed to arrange the whole thing? Wouldn't it be great if this program went "nation wide"???
