A-laget, Norway's atypical reporters
Last year NRK, the Norwegian state media, started its first season of a 4-episode series called A-laget. The concept: a team of untypical reporters, both people on the autism spectrum and people with mental disabilities, get to meet a celebrity for some hours and ask them questions. It is then edited down to a 30 minute program.
So far they have interviewed prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre, comedian Herman Flesvig, esteemed journalist and debate leader Fredrik Solvang, and reporter and comedian Else Kåss Furuseth.
Apparently it is based on a French concept called the A Talks, but I know nothing about that, I only know our local version.
The idea is to expand the audience's view of atypical people and what they are capable of.
Journalist Fredrik Solvang wrote a well written and nice post about the program and his participation on Instagram for those who might be interested. https://www.instagram.com/p/DEue27GKRF3/
For anyone interested in watching it, here's a link. It's in Norwegian though. https://tv.nrk.no/serie/a-laget
Anyone heard of this concept or watched their country's version of this?
