Have you ever felt the need to show someone the wallpaper on your phone...as a way to help you in an uncomfortable situation?

can you tell what the image means? I don't understand

that image is simple the A and S for Asperger"s Syndrome, and some extra artwork to look cool, if we could just get it to convey some information about us it would be perfect, at least for 1 specific group on the spectrum

what type of message did you have in mind...I might be able to write around the inner circle

the message on them doesn't have to be a specific thing, and being an NT you might be able to think of a better one, because it's not what we say that's the point, it's how people react, idealy we want to avoid both ignorant reactions (people who feel uncomfortable because we don't act normal) and pity (most people don't know anyone with autism and think we need to be treated "special"), realy it all comes down to others respecting us, not thinking we're "weird" or "unfortunate"

NT stands for neurotypical, that is not diagnosed with a neurological condition, and as such more able to understand the position of normal people in terms of such things as autism, and yes that desing is good, although from my experience some autistic people don't like the word disability, mostly because despite the inherit disability of being autistic we usualy have some sort of skills along with that, and discribing it as a disability is a bit simpler than many would like, not that it does not describe the social aspect of the condition very well, but more because it causes more pity than most of us want

Not a panic button topic

Those of us on the Spectrum have nothing to be ashamed of, yet i have misgivings about my wearing my diagnosis on my sleeve, or shirt, or pinned to my coat. I dislike logos of any kind.

Yet if this works for people, I am all in favour...as long as I do not have to sport a badge. I have fear of people knowing too much about me, even here.

Never felt the need to, but I keep it mostly as a conversation piece, in case someone notices. It's the internal wallpaper, so it only shows up if I flip the phone open to use the QWERTY keypad or other functions.
