It's fact. Abortion is an issue ASAN has taken sides on. It has comprimised other issues.

I just posted evidence ENTIRELY CONTRARY to this. You are going to have to back up your claims with more than "nuh-uh, yes it does".

I am not going to argue with you it is senseless. Let's see what the spin doctors come up with. Other then that others wish to remain away from autism abortion issues. Respect that and don't demand the involvement.

Autism and autistic is the same thing essentially. Applying a diagnoses to my identity however is de-humanizing in my opinion and puts me in direct sights of feeling bad about myself. A label is a label and an individual is an individual. I understand the psychology of ASAN, I don't agree all the time and I don't like some of the methods and philosophies. I don't have to agree and have the audacity to think differently.

Does anyone else have any comments? I am glad to have expressed myself on this issue. If you want to be a anti-abortion advocate please join ASAN. Otherwise other organizations do not want to have anything to do with this topic as it causes problems in other advocacy and the issues don't go well together. ASAN is not a network of diverse opinion but a corporation implying it is a network of self-advocates but just means certain kinds of advocates. Also I feel embarrassed about some of their protests and feel good to say it and hope they can understand why. If you have any questions just ask me.

Would it make you happy if I got someone on the board of directors to post here to re-emphasize the point that is already made on their website which I linked to, that they take no position on abortion? Because I could if that would shut you up and get you to stop spreading lies which I have already disproved with a direct quote.

I would welcome the entire board here including Ari for a pow-wow. The abortion issue is fact no matter how wholly different it is from itself according to some PR material. Also I'd like to discuss the protests, the organizations name ASAN which implies all self-advoates are included and some of the tacts both Autism Speaks as well as ASAN takes that really is not good in my opinion for individuals with autism. No organization is perfect.

Invite them please..

Oh well so no one showed and I didn't expect anyone to. Piss and vintager can be very constructive. Now if only people would spend almost near as much time and energy it takes to be offended and insulted at every little thing that effects their "ego's" prides and focus upon the real civil rights problems quality of life would be better. Ari and other advocates have allot of good strategies some call manipative or cunning. On the other hand I've mapped out most of the strategies and have indirects that neutralize them. Now I don't want to cuase problems, least not to many problems but desire to entice some attention for some real changes and not on flipping ego's.

I will be nice to those that are nice to me and there is allot of nice people where I live. However I do fully intend to cause a stir to help people. I am in other-words a constructive bullheaded, staburn and passionate advocate with one agenda in mind and proven strategies. The idea is to create leaders from the at times advocacy wimps that cannot do much else then moan and complain over the simple things and lack innovation. Yeah thats being hard on others but I am like a vocal advocacy boot camp and really like drill Sargent movies so it is fun.

I suppose this topic has run it's course. If you want to banter over some nonsense have at it.

Lovely..

However I have already studied the PR. The politics go into abortion so other then saying it is not people will agree and disagree. As I have implied the organization is perceived compromised politically as with Autism Speaks on the abortion issue. I'd really like to entice others to become leaders if they are inspired and I think W.P the autism planet website is the perfect forum to exchange ideas internationally and nationally and at no cost or apparent subscription to any kind of belief ideals.

News flash: Not everybody in a given organization has the exact same opinions.

Of course not but here is one voice that is a self-advocate that is not allowed to be part of their network because I'd rationalize and provoke sensibility which is feared amongst the propagandist on both sides that profit from balarny :P
