Alright I will take the time in a few hours to explain some more but explicitly the video cannot be explained in whole simply because like in some food dishes it has a few secret ingredients.

No. I did not.

Okay - it is fairly obvious that you used the autism speaks 'I am autism' format in order to make this scare tactics argument but, I just don't see the point you are trying to make.
In order for that contrast to be of use, you would need to agree that the "I am Autism' campaign was intended to be a scare tactic - to make people hate autism. Your satirical piece is trying to make Autism pride scary - I do not think it did that. The closing line especially lent a disingenuious note to the whole thing - "There is no hope'. That is not a position autism pride, as a general rule, takes. People with pride in their autism generally do not have the desire to withhold funding, research or therapies from peopel who need them. In fact, many fight to get more funding, research and therapies not only for kids but for the vast underserved adult ASD population as well.

The whole anti-cure/ autism pride thing hinges on the belief that research is being conducted with the intent purpose of finding a genetic test to prescreen for autism in utero. They would rather see that money going into research that can actually benefit those that are here.

I'm not sure the autism pride movement - if you can call it that - is anywhere near as bleak and exclusionary as you have portrayed it. Yes, that false presentation is, in and of itself a scare tactic but the equivilent would be Autism Speaks telling people autism will kill their children and infect the others... the misrepresentations are THAT off base in your video.

I did say there were secret ingredients and you are welcome to theorize. I will explain in another post but this explanation will be long as it involves allot of consideration from differing points of views. I hope to be done with this autism community social study in the next 30 days anyways. Some groups will be reverse engineered socially when I'm done and namely ASAN.

the only thing that scares me is that people in the autistic community cant cooperate for any common good.the only thing that should scare the autistic politcal establishment is when people like me are willing to tell the truth

Yeah I got distracted last evening. I think allot of people claiming to have autism online have been totally destructive, rude and manipulative at times. The video is kind of reversing it on them but I am sure there are at least some people who actually do have autism that didnt mean to be like that. I cannot explain the secret ingredient but yet the video is a reversal and a protection from a backlash that goes to far politically.

I am hesitant to say they have autism as it is the internet. But I am wondering how special interest or political interest groups who otherwise do not have autism have influenced it. There is allot at stake and politics can be very manipulate that says one thing but actually means the other. The behavior of such politics can seem straight forward but the behavior creates something else on purpose for another goal. China hires PR people that go online to do something similar but that's a different thing.

I simply cannot explain it as the mother-ship has classified it in my brain from the Wrong Planet people up in the sky.

What I was implying is people have an agenda in PR and others share those agenda's like abortion. The alien stuff is a joke based on the website theme here. The thoughts of feeling like one is from another planet "not fitting in" or related "differing ways of thinking". Calling depictions of autism bigotry when in pursuit of treatment and potential cure by means of research and at the same time advocating against abortion is a conflict of interest. The image of autism (idea of autism) in society then is at wits between two interests. That of abortion prevention by means of re-defining autism and the depiction of autism for the sake of improving hardships by means of cure when at the same time asking the public for tax-payer funding.

I find the whole classified by the mother ship statement funny as it threads a similarity with the theme of the site. Noticing the music video is about people thinking they are aliens it is a synchronized humor style. As for the "I Am Autism Pride" video it was designed to make people think but ultimately protect against real claims of discrimination being ignored. How it did so I will not explain.

Some advocates just have gone to far with confrontational tact. From death threats to just the inability to compromise and onto advocacy styles which while seem good on the surface conflict with other issues and are their own downfall. I will post the analysis of a certain group and relevant advocacy strategies I am hoping in about 4 weeks.

I am an active, experienced and successful autism and developmental disability inclusion Public Relations strategist and analyst.

I'm not sure either of those goals is mutually exclusive. One can be against the concept of looking for in utero autism detection while still advocating for research for treatments and 'cures' - however one defines that word.

One of the biggest problems seems to be how much tax payer money is going into finding out WHY there is autism and not nearly as much going into HOW to treatment, educate and incorporate the autistic community into the mainstream.
