What does that even mean?

I asked you what you mean by "a prevailing theory", not how the dictionary defines "prevail".

And, you can't have meant all 3 of those things by prevail.

What? I said I used the second definition or can't you read? :/
Prevailing is a form of prevail. I even put that in the definition at the bleeding top.

I said read about it as a general thing?

Yes, I see now you indicated that. Had you not hidden them within something you quoted from the dictionary, maybe I would have seen them the first time.

And it's not up to me to us to do the research on an issue you are the one interested in. If you want people to have informed opinions on the matter, post a link. If you want them to just read you personal opinions without getting to read for themselves, don't bother. But don't expect us to read your opinion and assume we'd see it the same way. Don't expect us to think it's hogwash just because you say so.

Anyone checked out who Simon Baron Cohen's cousin is yet?

I have only realized who he was a few minutes ago.

I think this sums it up best:

Empathy is defined as the ability to recognize emotions in others. It doesn't mean you actually care.

No, I didn't hide them. I gave the definiton so that you could see them. But please, make paranoid speculation about how I wanted to hide things (in plain view)!

I was asking as a request, or does the word 'Please' mean nothing to you?

Hypocrisy

First, practice what you preach. Second, what links I give may have a bias for all you know, which would be a reasonable judgement. Third, I don't have an obligation to do everything for you, you know. I didn't know typing something in to google was so damned hard.

I said search for yourself, please. Also it's hard to call something an opinion when there's evidence around.

That's what I said to you? You really should read my responses clearly.

Erm of course. That is what I said earlier.

All I know about this subject is with concern to myself and what I've observed.

1. I am mentally stuck in a pattern of thinking and do not consider the emotions of others idly when this happens.

2. I can appear distant at times and uncaring. Though it would seem I don't know how to properly respond other times and get stuck with it. I can think later of how I should have responded and as long as point 1 is not evident I do well with it.

3. People with more profound autism if they are verbal seem not to express emotions whatsoever at all like so called normal people do. Yet It would appear the ones I have come to know can understand in their own way but not express much at all about it least in the same ways as what might be expected as a general expectation as what I may conclude.

4. very profound seems to just not at all react externally to this. This is the stereotypical person in another world cognitively coming out from time to time.

This is a very tough subject unless the internal being of every person with autism is made in detail factually clear.
