@Tuttle, What hinders you from getting work with bachelor's degree and a double major?
Should be possible to hide the AS diagnosis.
It's not the diagnosis that causes me difficulty working so much as the things that are why I have a diagnosis. The worst is that I have severe hypersensitivities. I've had people tell me that my sensory issues severe enough that they tend to occur in nonverbal people, not people who look as "high functioning" as I do.

I'm wrong. You're right.
You're right. I've suspected for a couple of months now that you've probably got your head on straighter than I do; I think you've just proved that I'm right (about that anyway).
Sorry... I'm not trying to say you're entirely wrong. I'm trying to explain my view on the matter. I've just dealt with a lot of both of these sides lately.

What were your majors in?? They say academia is one haven Aspies have created for ourselves. Might give it a shot...
Math/Computer Science. I'm likely going to look into academia once I can get back into grad school. I am actually enough of an academia person that it might work.

Well, if you ever want to go the self-reliant survival farm route, I'm recruiting. Each according to their ability. It's a nice fantasy-- about the only one I have left.
Just need to find someone whose "ability" includes business contracts, legalese, and dealing with society at large.
That would actually be great to know exists even though I'd be unlikely to join in any other group for it (inability to trust that there will be no smokers). My boyfriend has fantasized about a highly technical commune before. I could really see us going the very strong self-reliant survival farm route.
